Rather infrequently, the underlying subject of the resultative state (surfacing as subject in a resultative construction) is not co-referential with the underlying subject or object of the previous event, but, instead, with some other underlying actant which may be locative (hence the LOCATIVE RESULTATIVE), or dative (hence the DATIVE RESULTATIVE). These minor types can be termed collectively the OBLIQUE OBJECTIVE (or indirect-objective)resultative. [The locative resultative occurs for example in Japanese (Japanese-Ryukyuan).]2. See also #1297.
