If a causative morpheme is unproductive in relation to transitives, forming from them a relatively small (closed) group of trivalent causatives, among the latter are usually found causatives from verbs denoting abstract action, which provide causative oppositions such as ‘see – show’, and also from a few verbs of concrete action denoting the consumption of food.
