If a language is (to an extent) agglutinating, at least some of its inflections can be used on members of more than one word class. If a language uses at least some of its inflections cross-categorially, the language is agglutinating at least to an extent.
Standardized
IF morphology is agglutinative (to an extent), THEN at least some inflections can be used on members of more than one word class, and vice versa.
