1. MULTIPLICAND = a quantity to be multiplied by another. MULTIPLIER = a quantity by which another is multiplied.

2. For example, in English, 'a ten' or 'one ten' is not acceptable, but given there is 'a hundred' and 'one hundred,' 'a thousand' are 'one thousand' are predictable.
