Mentioned by Pierre Abbat, p.c. Deriving from participles, it is not so surprising that past-tense verbs should continue to show adjectival agreement. With finite verbs not uncommonly deriving from non-finite ones, especially in past tenses and perfective aspects, such agreement splits should be crosslinguistically more common ? but are they?
