    LIGATIVE (or Ligature): In some languages, such as Dyirbal (Pama-Nyungan, Australian) and Hurrian (isolate), the attributive nominal includes, in addition to the two case markers, a third element —“a special carrier suffix” (Plank 1990) or ligative — wedged in between the two.
