The list of preparatory readings is now available here. There are two reading lists, targeted at the two communities gathering at the workshop: one for PARSEME members and one for ENeL members.

Social activities and excursions on Monday, 4 April

  • In the afternoon (starting at 2:30 p.m.): Joint excursion to Canyon Matka (a gorge on the River Treska) and to the Church Saint Panteleimon (from the 12th century). Comfortable shoes are recommended. The prices will vary depending on the number of participants. The minimum number of participants is 4 and it would be 50€ per person. The maximum number of participants is 8 and then it would cost 25€ per person. The meeting point for the excusrsion is Hotel Karpos (see map).
  • In the evening (8 p.m.): Warming up meeting in the Sokace restaurant, Dragan Gjakonovski Shpato (–î—Ä–∞–≥–∞–Ω –É–∞–∫–æ–Ω–æ–≤—Å–∫–∏ –®–ø–∞—Ç–æ) street, less than a minute walk from Hotel Monako.

How to get to SKOPJE

By plane:

Skopje Airport has direct daily flights from / to: Belgrade, Istanbul, Ljubljana, Rome, Wien, Zagreb.

For more details, check Skopje Airport’s site: skp.airports.com.mk/ Please, avoid too late arrival, unless it is inevitable.

There is an exchange office at the Airport, but the rate is rather low. You might also withdraw between 3000 MKD (48 EUR) and 6000 MKD (97 EUR) from the ATM machines at the Airport. The commission is 2 EUR, and the rate is 61.5 MKD/EUR.

At the Airport, buy the ticket from Vardar Ekspres (175 MKD, you can pay it with Visa, Master, Maestro card) and go to its final destination. Hotel Holiday Inn. Go towards the Parliament, and at the crossroad go to the left to street 11 –û–∫—Ç–æ–º–≤—Ä–∏ (11 Oktomvri). There is a local bus station. Buses 4, 7 (be careful, there is a bus 7a, it’s not convenient), 15, 22, and 24 take you towards the Boulevard Partizanski odredi (–ë—É–ª–µ–≤–∞—Ä –ü–∞—Ä—Ç–∏–∑–∞–Ω—Å–∫–∏ –æ–¥—Ä–µ–¥–∏). The participants staying in Hotel Dolce and Hotel Monako should get out of the bus at SIMPO station (third station after the Church of St Clement of Ohrid https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_St._Clement_of_Ohrid). The buses then stop immediately after Hotel Karpos (pronounced Karposh). Bus ticket bought in the bus costs 35 MKD. It must be paid in the local currency.

By train or by bus:

The railway station and the bus station are close to the bus terminus for local buses. Get the bus 22 and go towards the Boulevard Partizanski odredi (–ë—É–ª–µ–≤–∞—Ä –ü–∞—Ä—Ç–∏–∑–∞–Ω—Å–∫–∏ –æ–¥—Ä–µ–¥–∏) Bus ticket bought in the bus costs 35 MKD (approx. 0.60 EUR). It must be paid in the local currency. 

By car:

The entrance from Belgrade and from Athens is the same (Skopje East). Be careful not to go to the ring road, which leads to Tetovo. After Hotel Continental (it is a tall white building with red frames, on the opposite side of the boulevard), go to the right on the roundabout, and drive towards the Boulevard Partizanski odredi (–ë—É–ª–µ–≤–∞—Ä –ü–∞—Ä—Ç–∏–∑–∞–Ω—Å–∫–∏ –æ–¥—Ä–µ–¥–∏)The speed limit in the cities is 50 km/h. Be careful not to exceed this limit.

 

Lunches: Recommended restaurant - Barbakan Restaurant (http://www.barbakanrestaurant.com/). Lunches are covered personnally by the participants (and can be included in the reimbursement claim at flat rate of 20 EUR per meal).

Reimbursement: In order to apply for the reimbursement for this meeting, please accept the invitation that will be sent to you via e-COST before the meeting. After the meeting, fill in the reimbursement form that will be available online via the COST system and send electronically all relevant signed documents to the Grant Holder, as indicated in the reimbursement form. Before making any arrangements PLEASE READ general rules for the reimbursement described in the Vademecum, pp. 20-24. External members (who have not received the e-COST invitation) can also participate freely but will not be reimbursed for their travel and stay and should contact the organisers in advance.   

The hotel reimbursement rate for this meeting is 65 EUR per night (flat rate). The number of the reimbursed nights is equal to the number of attended workshop/meeting days plus 1 (maximum one night before and one night after the meeting).
